When I think about Memorial Day, this is the image that comes to mind. Driving down a country road in France and on my right this amazing cemetery arises with USA Flags flying proudly. After some research I learn it was the Oise-Aisne American Cemetery and Memorial. 6,012 American war dead from World War 1 are here. Fathers, grandfathers, brothers… In a small field in northern France.
